Just a heads up for anyone thinking of playing the Jets this week. IMHO would not be surprised to see this line move towards 6 as the weeks moves on. Jets bettors might be well advised to bet early for best number.

Just an opinion on line movement, I could be wrong, but it would not shock me to see game close 6.

227 Jets -6 -111 -259 OVER 36.5 -110
228 Dolphins +6 +101 +239 UNDER 36.5 +100 (Pinnacle)

That didn't take long. I hope some of you Jets guys laid the 5 or even 5.5.

I would like to use this as a play on Sunday but it would be unfair with my number gone.

Best of luck, wil.

Hitman thanks, It might be to late but if you can find any Redskins -2.5 -110 (over Browns) play it. The game will end up -3 everywhere.

Sharp post wil. Got the jets at 5, had kinda the same feeling you did. Miami is just terrible and they won't stop the Jets from scoring enough to cover. Though I will say this is one of those games where the two teams seem to play a close game regardless how much better one is compared to the other throughout the years.

The Dolphins offense has been absolutely pathetic, however, they will recieve a spark this weekend with Jay Fiedler. Although he is nothing spectacular, he is a proven winner and has beat the Jets the last 3 times he has faced them. With the Dolphins defense being one of the best in the league, I think the Dolphins have a good chance to stay in this game and stay within the 6 points. If Fiedler can lead them to 13-16 points against a less than average Jets defense, then the Dolphins might have a chance to cover or maybe even win outright. Personally, I am hoping the line will get to 6.5 or 7, and then I will take the Dolphins. Good luck on whichever side you choose to take!

With Fiedler in obviously the Jets aren't as strong of a play at -6, but, still, I'm leaning towards the Jets. Fiedler was 5/13 for 42 yards and 2 interceptions before getting pulled from the Tennessee game. Something stinks in Miami, the Ricky Williams fiasco has had a devastating effect on the offense. Defensively yeah they're playing very well, but the Jets are looking very good on offense and if Fiedler can't get anything going the Jets will be able to score with good field position.

Oren,

I live down in South Florida and have been a Dolphins fan all of my life, so I follow them just as much or more than anyone else on this board. I do agree with you that Fiedler was horrible in the first game, but you have to realize certain things. The Dolphins offensive line is horrible, as they have 5 new starters on the offensive line. There first game together was week 1 when Fiedler struggled. He only played in the first half due to his poor play, however, a major reason for his struggles were due to the offensive line. Fiedler, although not a great quarterback, is a proven winner and has been solid the last couple of years so I do not put much of anything into his poor week 1 peformance. I think that with Fiedler, the Dolphins have a better chance of winning week in and week out. He is more mobile than Feeley, more familiar with the offense, and there has been much talk that the guys in the locker room have wanted Fiedler in ther instead of Feeley all along. 2 of the most important players on the Dolphins, Chambers and Zach Thomas, are currently listed as questionable and they will be using Leonard Henry as their starting tailback, due to the injury to Lamar Gordon. Henry was their 4th running back before getting cut early in the season and then being resigned due to injuries. With all of this being said, this game will most likely be a pass for me. Good luck guys on whichever side you take!

Spread, I absolutely agree about Fiedler. They potentially could be a better team with him playing. I'm just betting with the current trend, which shows the Jets surging and the Dolphins looking like the bottom of the barrel. If Miami wins straight-up I wouldn't be shocked.

SB .. you are well imformed

:) :) SB ... I am also a die hard Miami Fish fan for many yrs. This is the most confused, undisapplined, disfunctional Fish team in the last 30 yrs. You have highlighted the problems ... the major one is the 5 new starters on the offensive line and the loss of their 2 major run stoppers on the def line ... I agree this is either a pass or bet on NYJ ... I do not believe P Manning or Bret could score more than 14 pts with this offense ... defense is great but as in the last 2 games will fade in the 4th Q from too much work ... NYJ will be out for revenge and this is a lame duck for them .... NYJ will score 21 pts and cover... good luck
